Judges Mileage Reimbursement
Effective January 1, 2008, the
rate for mileage reimbursement is $0.50/mile to reflect the upcoming change in
the IRS standard mileage rate for 2008.

- National Congress & Trade Show registration will be online by mid- December
- National Congress form will be on the website to download as soon as we go live with the online registration.
- Congress registration form will include ability to order tickets – will be in the January and subsequent issues of Technique
- National Congress attendees will be able to order discounted tickets with their congress registration. Special pricing for congress attendees
- There will be special pricing package for public transportation during the Congress and Trials time. No need to rent a car.
- Hotel reservations – they may begin reserving their hotel rooms on December 17 and thereafter. Contact NTS beginning 12/17.
- The Marriott Hotel is the National Congress & Trade Show hotel headquarters. At this time we are only offering this one hotel for special rates.
- Pre and post congress events such as Business Conference, safety course, H.O.T. course, women’s SC/RC workshop, National NAWGJ board meeting and SD/RJD workshop, Congress Dance party will take place at the Marriott hotel.
- We do not release where the delegation will stay during the event.
- Hall of Fame Ceremony and Luncheon will take place on Sunday, June 22. Class of 2008 will be announced in January.
- National Congress & Trade Show will take place Thursday through Saturday, June 19 – 21, 2008
- U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics will take place Thursday through Sunday, June 19 – 22, 2008.
Mat Clarification
There is some confusion in the field regarding a mat that looks like a springboard (mount trainer).
Prior to the 2005-06 season, it was allowed at only the compulsory levels. Last year (2006-07) it was added to the R & P on page 78,
top #5. b.” At Levels 7-10, a manufactured mount mat (mount trainer) may be used for mounting purposes.”
This year it is still in the R & P (same page & #), but no longer in bold font, as it is not new.
This is an allowed piece of equipment at both compulsory and optional JO Levels.

All meet directors who host a competition in Region 3 must send a copy of the sanction report to the regional chair.
